Bail Bonds

When bail is an issue in a criminal case, it can be a nightmare.

Finding the right Bail Agent to post your bond can prove to be one of the more important decisions in your case. Over the years, I have seen some of the best and some of the worst bail companies. The good ones will stand by you in your time of need, while the bad ones will rescind your bail (cancel it causing you to go back into custody) the first chance they get.

One such example was seen recently when a client, on a lower level criminal case, failed to “call in” to his bail agent on a daily basis. Yes, this particular bail company requires clients to call into their office every day at a set time. If/when you are late or forge to call, this company seizes the opportunity to revoke your bond (keeping the money you have paid) and you are taken into custody.

Although I do not recommend any particular bail company, I can say that for the past 15 plus years, I have seen several bail agents in action, and they have stood out as ethical companies.
